Bauxite Silos

The structure is an eight-column multistory space frame 15 m high with structural members of standard steel sections.
It has four main corner columns in axial distance 6,70 m and four  intermediate in the perimeter. In all faces and levels vertical diagonal braces are arranged without eccentricity. Accessibility is provided in the 2d and 3d level where one of the two spans in each side is free of bracing for personnel and equipment passage. The stairways are located externally in one side of the structure, simply supported by cantilevers on two corner columns.
The main silo is founded on the four corner columns via its skirt.
